Lake Forest, IL – In-Office Pathology, LLC (IOP) announced today that it has added the capability to interface virtually all EMR systems to IOP’s in-office pathology laboratory computer system, POL Path. IOP has completed the agreement successfully with a national third party company that has done interfaces for major reference laboratories nationwide.

Pat Kalish stated, “We added this interface collaboration to POL Path at the request of many of IOP’s current clients. They are our best source of marketing intelligence. The interface collaboration allows a paperless pathology referral pattern. Many specialty practices will be excited that we can provide a paperless laboratory system. With this agreement in place, we are now offering this valuable service to all of IOP’s client installations nationwide. There is a separate chare for this added service.”

Pat Kalish added, “Our compliant in-office pathology laboratory concept continues to generate interest among GI, urologist, and dermatologist groups nationwide. We have applied our vast business experience in pathology to effect a paradigm shift. This is another piece supporting our single resource approach for design, implementation, operational and regulatory guidance, compliance and oversight for IOP client’s true in-office pathology laboratories. We continue as the market leaders for in-office pathology. Specialty groups have responded overwhelmingly to our message. This is the fastest growing segment in the pathology laboratory industry. We have in-office laboratories coast to coast and the demand is growing.”

Pat further stated, "Specialty practices with their IOP in-office pathology laboratory immediately see the benefits of our compliant, turn-key program. IOP laboratory clients have reporting, information management, and compliant billing capabilities and local technical support. Plus now we have a seamless and paperless system for lab reporting. IOP specialty groups practice at a high standard of patient care and are more productive. They have on-site pathology consultations for clinicians and their patients which is not the present mode in pathology today.”

IOP guides specialty physicians in establishing their own compliant in-office anatomic pathology laboratories. They are the market leaders for true in-office pathology laboratories with pathology laboratory installations coast to coast. For more information please call 800.280.3785, or email iopath@bex.net.
